Dr. Aryeh Simmonds is the Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Laniado Medical Center in Netanya, Israel. He is board certified in both the US and Israel as both a Pediatrician and Neonatologist.

Dr. Simmonds grew up in Teaneck NJ. He attended Yeshiva University for college, and then the American program in conjunction between Touro College and the Technion Faculty of Medicine where he received his masters and MD. He completed his Pediatrics Residency at Maimonides Medical Center and his Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship at Westchester Medical Center. After working as a Neonatology attending physician in New York, Dr. Simmonds and his family made Aliyah to Karnei Shomron. Right after making Aliyah he joined the Laniado family.

Outside of the hospital, in addition to being married and the father of 4 children, Dr. Simmonds is a physician first responder with both Magen David Adom and Ichud Hatzalah. In addition, he serves in the army reserves as Captain in the medical corps.

Within the hospital, in addition to his many responsibilities as the NICU director, Dr. Simmonds also plays an active role in a number of different capacities including risk management, disaster preparedness, resident and student education, as well as resuscitation education and implementation. Most importantly Dr. Simmonds has dedicated his career to the care and treatment of both newborns and their families.
